Driver arrested after crash that injured quad rider

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - A teen boy is in the hospital after a collision with a truck on Tucson’s southeast side on Thursday, Aug. 29.
According to information from the Tucson Police Department, the driver of the truck, who had a child with him, was arrested and was booked into jail on multiple felony DUI charges and aggravated assault with serious injury. Police said additional charges are pending.
The crash happened at Wilmot Road and I-10. According to police, the southbound pickup turned left in front of the northbound quad and they collided.
The quad rider, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to the hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is on-going. Anyone with information is asked to call 88-CRIME.
