TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Authorities have identified the pedestrian killed in Tucson early Thursday, Oct. 3.

The Tucson Police Department said Gerald Zushin, 83, was hit by a car while trying to cross First Avenue near Prince Road.

The TPD said Zushin, who died at the scene, was not in a crosswalk when the accident happened around 6 a.m.

The driver who hit Zushin stayed at the scene, cooperated with the investigation, showed no signs of impairment and was not speeding, according to authorities.

No arrests have been made and no citations have been issued, according to the TPD.
