UPDATE: Rural Metro Fire and PCSD respond to injured hiker in Sabino Canyon

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Rural Metro Fire crews and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department responded to an injured hiker in Sabino Canyon on Monday afternoon.
According to PCSD, a woman sustained a leg injury and could not hike out on her own.
First responders located the woman near tram stop nine around 6 p.m. and PCSD airlifted the woman out of the canyon.
She was transported to a nearby hospital and has non-life-threatening injuries according to Rural Metro.
