TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - A woman from Mexico who was found needing medical care has died after days of treatment, according to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
The 33-year-old woman died at a Tucson hospital Saturday, Oct. 26.
A Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s deputy found her near Tubac on Oct. 13.
The woman was taken to a hospital, where she received treatment while in the custody of the Border Patrol.
She is the second migrant to die in CBP custody this month.
On Oct. 21, a 49-year-old man from Mexico died from a pre-existing heart condition after being detained near Casa Grande.
