UPDATE: Authorities identify two killed in crash on Shannon Road in Oro Valley

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Two people were killed in a three-vehicle crash on Shannon Road in Oro Valley on Wednesday, Nov. 13.

The Oro Valley Police Department said Caitlin Festerling, 21, and Paul Garcia, 22, were killed in the accident.

At around 3:42 p.m., Festerling and Garcia were traveling northbound on Shannon when they were rear-ended. That pushed their car into the path of an oncoming vehicle.

The OVPD said the driver of the vehicle that rear-ended Festerling and Garcia refused treatment while the driver of the other vehicle suffered injuries that were not life threatening.

The investigation is ongoing and no citations have been issued.

The crash happened down the street from Ironwood Ridge High, but did not involve any students.
