TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Arizona has dismissed Devonaire Doutrive from the team for violation of team rules, the school announced Friday, Nov. 22.
Doutrive, a sophomore from California, has played in three games for the Wildcats (5-0) this season and was averaging 6.3 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.
"He will continue to receive academic aid and support through the remainder of the current semester," head coach Sean Miller said in a news release. "We wish him well in the next steps of his academic and athletic career."
Doutrive was suspended on Nov. 1 and has played since. He scored 2 points last night against South Dakota State.
Originally from Texas, Doutrive appeared in 26 of the team’s 32 games as a freshman last season. Prior to his arrival at the UA, Doutrive was a top-10 prospect from California and a top-100 recruit for the 2018 recruiting class.
