Gov. Doug Ducey closes Arizona schools until April 10

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - To help combat the spread of the novel coronavirus, Gov. Doug Ducey announced in a Twitter post Friday all schools will close until Friday, April 10.

“We want you to know that our goal is to get kids safely back in the classrooms,” Ducey said.

The mandate extends the previous school closure by two weeks, Ducey said.

School districts are providing daily meals to any child under 18. To see a list of available meal locations for southern Arizona go HERE. For the rest of Arizona, visit azed.gov."
