UPDATE: Victim identified in Iron Horse Park homicide investigation

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Authorities are investigating a homicide at Iron Horse Park in midtown Tucson where 50-year-old Casey Donald Wright was found deceased.

On April 2, 2020, at approximately 9:45 a.m., a passerby called 911 reporting a male appeared to be unconscious at Iron Horse Park located at 75 N. 1st Avenue.

Officers from Operations Division West and Tucson Fire Department were dispatched and responded to the park.

Upon arrival, the adult male was located and pronounced deceased at the scene. Officers noted obvious signs of trauma to Wright.

Detectives with the Homicide Unit were contacted and responded to continue the investigation. Interviews and evidence were collected at the scene.

At this time, investigators believe the victim was a transient and are asking anyone with information to come forward and call 88-CRIME. You can remain anonymous.
