Redington Road closed because of wildfire

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Officials have closed Redington Road because of a wildfire east of Tucson.

According to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, crews from the Rural-Metro Fire Department and the U.S. Forest Service are fighting the fire, which the forest service says has burned about 65 acres in the Coronado National Forest.

The fire is said to be burning near Milepost 6, but the sheriff’s department has closed the road at Milepost 1.

No further information was immediately available.
