UPDATE: PCSD identifies suspect connected to shooting southwest of Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Pima County Sheriff’s Department deputies have arrested 38-year-old Brandon Lawson who is connected to a shooting Monday night, Oct. 12, near near 1200 W. Blue Aloe Street.

At 6 p.m., deputies responded a report of a shooting. When they arrived, they located a male victim with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The man was transported to a local area hospital for his injuries.

Deputies say Lawson fled the scene in a vehicle, which was eventually located by Survey Two. Lawson fled from the vehicle and was on foot in the desert with a firearm, according to officials.

Through a coordinated effort between Survey Two, patrol, and Canine Unit deputies, Lawson was located and taken into custody.

Lawson was booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex for Aggravated Assault.

Criminal Investigations Division is continuing its investigation.
