Tucson police search for suspect in hit-and-run crash on city’s south side

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Investigators with the Tucson Police Department are still searching for the suspect in a hit-and-run crash that happened on the city’s south side Tuesday, Oct. 13.

The crash happened near the intersection of Sixth Avenue and 44th Street on Tuesday afternoon, where at least one person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to Tucson police.

Police are still looking for the driver of a blue Toyota or Mazda with tinted windows. Investigators said the front driver’s side fender is gray and the rear bumper is black.

Anyone with information is asked to call 88-CRIME.

This was the first of two hit-and-run crashes that happened Tuesday, Oct. A pedestrian was taken the to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was hit by a car near Golf Links Road and Wilmot Road late Tuesday night.
