TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - At least one person is dead following a crash between a passenger vehicle and semi-truck on Interstate 19 on Thursday, Oct 22.

The crash happened at around 12:45 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the highway near Duval Mine Road, according to an email from the Green Valley Fire District. Two people were in the passenger vehicle, one died at the scene and the other person was taken to Banner University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the semi was not hurt.

Northbound lanes have since reopened following an investigation.
