TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - A teen wanted in another state was armed when he was arrested in Marana on Sunday, Nov. 1, authorities said.
The Marana Police Department identified the suspect as Bronzson Lee Holland, 19.
The incident began as a check welfare call involving an unreported, accidental shooting.
Officers attempted to arrest Holland believed to have several felony warrants near a hotel at Ina and I-10. Upon observing officers, the Holland fled on foot to a nearby neighborhood. Holland barricaded himself in an uninvolved citizen’s utility shed and after a short standoff, he was taken into custody by members of the Pima Regional SWAT team.
Holland was believed to be armed with stolen firearms and was also an investigative lead in a shooting that took place in Texas (unknown circumstances).
The MPD said Holland is wanted out of Texas on felony warrants for weapons violations and drugs.
Holland was booked in to the Pima County Jail for his warrants and possession of a stolen vehicle. Officers say weapons were also recovered. He is being held on a $61,000 bond.
There are no further details and the investigation is ongoing.
