UPDATE: Tucson police arrest two in deadly east-side shooting

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Tucson police have arrested two men in connection with a deadly shooting on Dec. 30, 2020.

According to the Tucson Police Department, Darrel Dequann Ingram and Herald Phillip Lauterio, both 19, have been booked into Pima County Jail, each charged with murder, aggravated robbery, and armed robbery in connection with the death of 32-year-old Justin Gervon Chavis.

The shooting happened at around 3 p.m. at a laundromat Dec. 30, 2020, in the 7400 block of East 22nd Street, near Prudence Road, according to a TPD news release.

Responding officers found bystanders tending to Chavis, who had been shot. Chavis was taken to a hospital where he later died, the release stated.

Detectives are continuing the investigation and are attempting to identify a third suspect.
