TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - In the November 2020 election, Arizona residents voted to approve Prop. 207 that allows adults to possess up to one ounce of marijuana. However, there are limitations.
The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) said in a Facebook post that one man’s marijuana possession was “a smidge over the legal limit.”
On Monday, Jan. 4, Jesus Carmelo Juarez was stopped for speeding in the Casa Grande area. While PCSO deputies searched his car, they found 21 bundles of marijuana inside, weighing more than 450 pounds.
According to an AZ Family article, when Sheriff Mark Lamb asked for comment, he said “Dude, you can’t have THAT much weed.”
Juarez was booked into the Pinal County jail for possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale, and transportation of marijuana.
