TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Going to the movie theater has become a thing of the past since the coronavirus made its way to the U.S.
On Tuesday, Jan. 12, Cinemark officials announced Century 20 El Con theater and XD theater in Tucson will be temporarily closing.
They cited a lack of new film content and working to better serve the moviegoing demand for the closure. Below is an official statement from Cinemark:
Based on limited supply of new film content and to better align with moviegoing demand in the community, Cinemark is temporarily closing its Century 20 El Con and XD theatre. Moviegoers are invited to enjoy the immersive, cinematic experience of seeing a movie on the big screen at Century Park Place 20 and XD.
