US Border Patrol arrests fugitive wanted in Mexico

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - A 24-year-old fugitive is back in Mexico after U.S. Border Patrol agents found him near Douglas.

According to a news release, Tucson Sector agents found the man near the Douglas Municipal Airport around 3 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 4. During records checks, agents learned the man is wanted in Mexico for two counts of kidnapping and the sexual assault of two girls in Chiapas.

A warrant states the man kidnapped and held for ransom four people, including three minor females.

Border Patrol Agents say the suspect was returned to Mexico law enforcement.
