TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - UPDATE: At 12:42 pm, ADOT officials say all lanes of I-10 has reopened at Sunset Rd.

Marana Police Department confirmed the vehicle involved in the fire was a Marana PD unit. KOLD Newsroom is told an officer and suspect were in the vehicle at the time of the fire, but both are okay.

Officials say the fire has been put out.

Marana PD is expected to release more information on the incident.

UPDATE: At 12:36 pm, ADOT officials say the I-10 westbound lanes at Sunset Rd. have reopened to traffic.

All eastbound lanes are still closed and traffic must leave the freeway at Orange Grove Rd. There is no estimated time to reopen the eastbound lanes.

A vehicle fire has closed Interstate 10 in both directions near Tucson, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Officials say the incident at Sunset Rd has no estimated time to reopen the lanes.
