TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Fire crews with the Northwest Fire District responded to an assisted living facility on Tucson’s north side after receiving reports of a fire on Tuesday, March 9.

According to officials, the fire appears to have started in the facility’s attic. Occupants evacuated the structure, and crews were able to get the fire under control in a timely manner.

Northwest Fire says five residents in the assisted living home were displaced, and will be receiving help through the fire department’s Community Assistance Program.

No injuries were reported, but the incident did cause road closures on Orange Grove Road between La Cañada Drive and Oracle Road while crews battled the flames.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
