TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Tucson Police Department confirms two people are dead after an early morning shooting on the south side. The incident happened Wednesday, Mar. 10 at an apartment complex on 5515 S Forgeus Ave.

According to a news release, officials arrived on the scene to find a red Honda Civic that had collided with a wall as a result of the shooting.

Inside the vehicle was two adult males with obvious gunshot wounds. Despite police efforts to save the men, both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials identified the victims as 23-year-old Christopher Luiz Nunez and 22-year-old Bernadino Santamarina.

A preliminary investigation shows the victims were involved in a confrontation with another group in a nearby parking lot, soon after, gunfire erupted.
