Northwest Fire performs water rescue in Marana

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Today, the Northwest Fire Department assisted the Marana Police Department with a water rescue just off I-10 near Sandario Road.

According to the fire officials, a driver was having a medical emergency right before leaving the roadway and entered a drainage canal.

Crews were able to remove the driver out of the vehicle safely. And the driver was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Northwest Fire responded to a water rescue off I-10 near Sandario Rd. Crews assisted @MaranaPD in getting the driver out safely.
