Man dies in crash into Julian Wash

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - A man died in a single-vehicle crash on Kino Parkway early on Tuesday, April 20.
According to police, 43-year-old Harvard Ortiz was pronounced dead at the scene in the 4000 block of S. Kino Parkway.
Officers found a white 2016 Ford Explorer in the Julian Wash, which is a concrete culvert where it runs under Kino Parkway just south of I-10.
Detectives determined that Ortiz was driving at a high rate of speed south on Kino when his vehicle left the roadway, went airborne and crashed into the wash.
No additional information was immediately available.
