UPDATE: Old Bisbee residents returned to ‘READY’ status

BISBEE, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - The residents of Old Bisbee have returned to “READY” status and State Route 80 has reopened Tuesday morning, April 19.
Smoke may still be visible in the area. According to the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office, the perimeter of the fire has been secured and fire crews are working on hotspots within the fire’s boundaries.
According to the Arizona Dispatch Center, the fire has burned an estimated 50 acres.
About 15 homes were put in the “SET” status (pre-evacuation). An ALERTSENSE message was sent to the residents in the area (If they are signed up to receive messages).

The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office said the highway was reopened shortly after 6 a.m. on Tuesday after being closed overnight from Tombstone Canyon to Main Street. SR 92 was used as an alternate route between Sierra Vista and Bisbee or Douglas.
Residents of the Old Bisbee area are advised to remain vigilant and stay tuned for additional information.
