UPDATE: Motorcyclist dies in crash on Sabino Canyon Road

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - A motorcycle rider died in a crash on North Sabino Canyon Road on Tuesday, March 28.
The crash happened at the intersection with North Indian Ruins Road at approximately 3:13 p.m.
The rider, identified as 32-year-old Alexandra Hegel, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, the preliminary investigation revealed Hegel was southbound on Sabino Canyon Road when her motorcycle struck an eastbound pickup that was turning from Indian Ruins Road onto Sabino Canyon Road in an undisclosed direction.
The driver of the pickup was not injured.
No additional information was immediately available.
