Lyndsey Gough

Lyndsey Gough comes to Georgia by way of Kentucky. She is WTOC's Sports Director.

Prior to coming to Savannah, she was a journalist in Louisville, KY covering the University of Kentucky and University of Louisville as well as sports across the Bluegrass state from the high school level on up.

After graduating from the University of Kentucky in 2015 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, she began her career at WTOC’s sister station in Bowling Green, KY as a Multi-Media Journalist. She was later promoted to the producer and anchor for the weekend newscast and began a franchise for the Sports Connection show called “Beyond The Game” and would pinch-hit for the sports department as needed.

While at the University of Kentucky- she held multiple internships including being one of two of ESPN Lexington’s first interns, interning for the John Calipari Pro Camps, and working for the athletic department her senior year. She is also an alumna of Alpha Omicron Pi.

She has had the privilege to cover two Kentucky Derbies, a Heisman Trophy winner, multiple NCAA Tournament berths, bowl games, state championships and more in her career so far and is looking forward to continuing her work in Savannah.

Lyndsey enjoys watching sports at just about any level and is looking forward to getting to know the people of Georgia and South Carolina and tell their stories each day.

In her spare time, Lyndsey likes spending time with her dog, Scout- the cutest shichon around, binge-watching Netflix, exploring the city, antique shopping and cheering on her favorite teams.
