Massive Alaska storm could set record as worst ever

TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) - The weather much calmer is Alaska today after a powerful fall storm blasted the west coast on Wednesday.

Blizzard, gale, coastal flood warnings and more were in effect across Alaska right now.

While not a hurricane, the storm did produce similar damage with storm surges into cities and towns along the coastline and winds gusting up to 100 MPH.

There are reports of roofs blowing off and water in buildings, as well as debris and ice scattered across some towns and waterways in the area.
