Tucson, AZ (KOLD) - Arizona native Georganne Moline hated the hurdles when she was initially introduced. Now that event has her close to a potential Olympic medal. This is how the Wildcat is preparing for the Olympic preliminaries of the 400 meter hurdles.

Hometown: Phoenix, Arizona

Year: Senior

Olympic qualification: Finished 2nd in the 400 meter hurdles at the USA Olympic Trials (54.33)

Pre-Olympic Training Regime: Dynamic weight lifting, Speed/Strength drills on track

Track Workout:

Two weeks out

Warm up (5 min)

100 meter strides, 12 x at tempo pace (1 min rest)

Front squat toss with medicine ball, 1x, 15 reps

Front underhand toss with medicine ball, 1x, 15 reps

Backward overhand toss with medicine ball, 1x, 15 reps

One week out

500 meter (400 meters under :55 / 100 meters under :14)

180 meters (150 meter hurdles), 3x

Weight Training Exercises (70%-75% max weight):

Clean Jerk (Warmup / 3 sets)

Power Cleans (4 sets / 5-6 reps)

Isolation Squats (slow count down and up / full parallel / 6 sets / 4 reps)

Straight leg deads with 20lb kettle bell (3 sets / 10 reps)
