9/12 Generation Project coming to AZ

Arizona public middle school students will soon learn about the good that came after the September 11th attacks.

It's coming from what's called the 9/12 Generation Project.

It is a video and classroom resource kit that teaches kids about the positive things that emerged from the tragedy, when communities came together and people stepped up to volunteer.

The Christina-Taylor Green Memorial Foundation provided the funding for all Arizona middle school classrooms to have the kit and documentary film.

Christina-Taylor was the youngest victim of the mass shooting in Tucson.

She was born on September 11th, and would have been 11 years old tomorrow.

The New York Says Thank You Foundation will host a special showing of the film Monday, Sept. 10 at 6:30 p.m. at Cross Middle School, 1000 W. Chapala Drive.
