NOGALES, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A 5-year-old girl was attacked by a pit bull Friday night, a Santa Cruz County sheriff's deputy told Tucson News Now.
The girl was hospitalized after suffering a bite on the lip and scratches on her face, he said.
Deputies arrived at a home in the 100 Block of Camino Don Guillermo in Nogales and were told the girl was bleeding from a bite on the face, Lt. Raoul Rodriguez said.
The dog was adopted from the Santa Cruz County Animal Control a month ago, he said.
Animal Control has custody of the dog.
