TOMBSTONE, Ariz. (Tucson News Now) - The Wyatt Earp House and Gallery has only a few days left in business, according to owner Elizabeth Allen.

"We're planning on closing it this weekend," Allen said.

The Wyatt Earp House and Gallery allows tourists to take a look at history by stepping inside the house Earp lived in during his time in Tombstone.

Earp went down in Arizona history as a local hero after killing three outlaw cowboys during a gunfight in 1881 at the O.K. Corral in Tombstone.

"It's a shame," said Mayor of Tombstone Steven Schmidt. "We've been losing business due to the economy."

The gallery in the 100 block of E. Fremont St. is said to become a vacation rental, according to Allen.

"The closing will not affect Wyatt Earp Days," Mayor Schmidt said.

The celebration is set to take place May 25 through 27.
