Deputies ask for help identifying possible suspects in attempted robbery
Sheriff's deputies are looking for help identifying two men who allegedly attempted to steal a purse from a woman. The 89-year-old woman was injured in the incident.
According to a news release from the Pima County Sheriff's Department, the victim was returning to her car after shopping at the Safeway at 4752 E. Sunrise Dr. on April 27 at about 6:30 a.m.
She was approached by a man who asked her for money. When she refused to give him money, he allegedly tried to grab her purse. The victim fell and hit her head during the struggle.
A bystander who witnessed the incident, called out to the suspect, who got away in a car without the purse.
Deputies say video surveillance shows two men associated with the car, which was reported stolen and later located, entering a convenience store.

The man in the video appears to be in his early twenties, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with a black shirt under it, a black hat and carrying a back pack.
The second man in the video appears to be white, in his early twenties, wearing a black and gray flannel shirt and a red and white baseball cap.
