TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A family dog, Reilly, alerted a couple to a fire in their garage in the 10500 block of East Dusky Willow Drive.

According to Barrett Baker, PIO for TFD, the couple was able to escape safely while the fire tore through their garage.

Several calls were made to 911 that described three vehicles either on fire or being threatened by fire.

When the first crew arrived, it was confirmed the garage fire involved multiple vehicles. Crews took hose lines through the front door of the house to fight the fire and tried to prevent it from spreading to the rest of the home.

The fire did spread into the attic of the house. The latter crew accessed the roof of the home and cut two holes in the roof to allow the smoke to escape.

There were no injuries to firefighters. The couple, along with Reilly, are staying at another location and did not need assistance from Red Cross.

Three cars were destroyed in the fire and the garage and others areas of the house had considerable smoke and fire damage as well.
