TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Three people were hurt in an accident involving a car and motorcycle on Tucson's northwest side this morning.
According to Northwest Fire District spokesman Capt. Adam Goldberg, two people in their 70s were on the motorcycle when it was struck shortly after 10:30 a.m. by a car driven by a 21-year-old woman in the intersection of North Oracle and West Orange Grove roads.
The intersection was closed for approximately 45 minutes.
The motorcycle riders, who were wearing helmets, were taken by ambulance to the trauma center at the University of Arizona Medical Center. The 21-year-old was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment.
Goldberg said all the injuries were considered minor.
The accident is being investigated by the Department of Public Safety.
