Car catches fire near River and Oracle

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Breaking news this morning as a car catches fire on Tucson's northwest side. Tucson News Now's own Kevin Adger witnessed the vehicle fire.
The car pulled off Oracle Road and into a parking lot near a Red Lobster, according to Tucson Fire Department reports. The driver and only person in the car was able to safely exit the vehicle, stated TFD. According to the driver she could smell gas and quickly pulled her vehicle over and that was when it caught fire.
Tucson Fire Department crews received a call at 7:15 a.m. and quickly arrived on scene, they were able to put the fire out within a few minutes. Crews remain on scene to make sure there are no flare ups.
There is no word yet on what exactly caused the fire, and no estimate on damages.
Traffic was not affected by the fire.
