New software update causing problems for Pima County Courts

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The Pima County Consolidated Justice Court is addressing issues with new software system.

Earlier this week, the Pima County Consolidated Justice Court implemented a new case management system, which replaces software that has been in use since 1987.  According to the PCCJC, it is experiencing technical problems with the new software, which is in turn creating problems for the phone system.

Customers are experiencing long wait times and many are unable to access data or make payments due to the issues; staff at PCCJC is working to identify and correct the issues.

According to a release from Pima County the PCCJC will be making 'as necessary' adjustments or accommodations to those who are unable to make a required payment due to the technical issues.  This is to ensure that no one is adversely impacted by these technical problems.

The Pima County Consolidated Justice Court is one of the busiest justice courts in Arizona, as it handles cases for eight different precincts; it receives 140,000 filings a year and serves more than 1,200 visitors a day to its offices.
