TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - TODAY'S MOST...Bizarre burglary: Police put a man in jail who they say stole because of his addiction to golf. About ten thousand dollars worth of merchandise was stolen from a golf club in Bremerton, Washington on Memorial Day.

Police had no leads, until some of the merchandise started showing up on eBay. Ultimately detectives found out who was selling the stuff, and got a warrant and found the merchandise at his home.

The suspect, who's not yet named, had no criminal record. Bremerton Police Chief Kevin Crane told KOMO news "burglaries are often the result of addictions - drugs, alcohol or gambling. I think this is the first one we have seen that looks like a golf addiction."

Police say the suspect is unemployed. He's is in jail on suspicion of burglary and trafficking stolen property. Bail is set at $200,000.
