TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The very popular Mexican baseball teams are back in Tucson, and they will be playing their first game this evening.
Crowds, attracted to these baseball games, make a big impact on the city's economy. This is certainly an exciting time for baseball fans here in Southern Arizona and in Mexico.
Right now it might be quiet outside the Kino Stadium on Tucson's south side, but this evening will be a different story. Beginning at 5:30 p.m. the stadium will be rocking for Vamos a Tucson Baseball Fiesta.
There will be four of the top teams from the Mexican winter league visiting Tucson for baseball, plus some young players from the LA Dodgers and Kansas City Royals Future Stars teams.
Not only will there be baseball, there will be bands after the games. Most people would describe the atmosphere of these games as being like a party and that party begins tonight with 'Thirsty Thursday'.
Ticket prices range from $15 to $6, with children under the age of six getting in for free.
