Police arrest man in connection to homicide on Tucson's south side

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Tucson Police have arrested a man in connection to a homicide late Friday night.
According to Brandon Tatum of TPD, police arrested Douglas Van Der Sloot after responding to a shooting call in the 5200 block of S. Missiondale Road near the Missiondale and Nebraska Street intersection. Van Der Sloot remained in the area after shooting a man.
Police found the victim, Charlie Bencomo, 41, in a vehicle near 12th Street and Nebraska with obvious signs of gunshot trauma. Bencomo was transported to a local hospital, where he would eventually succumb to his injuries.
Police have charged Van Der Sloot with second degree murder.
