TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A rescue was underway east of Tucson on Thursday afternoon.

Search and Rescue teams helped a 27-year-old woman who was injured after falling about five feet onto her side at Tanque Verde Falls. PCSD deputy Tom Peine said no helicopters were available to aid in the rescue so officials from the Southern Arizona Rescue Association, Rural/Metro Fire District and the sheriff's department helped carry her out to later be taken to a local hospital.
