The Pima County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help in locating a suspect in an armed robbery earlier this month.

The Dollar General Store at 5697 S. Alvernon Way was robbed at about 3 p.m. on March 6.

The Sheriff's department said the suspect is described as a Hispanic or white man, 5'8" tall with a slim build. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with "ECKO" printed on the front, dark jeans, white tennis shoes and sun glasses. He was driving a white or silver late-model SUV with a black top.

According to the Sheriff's department, a man armed with a pistol shoved a woman, pointed the pistol at the cashier and demanded money.

After the cashier put an undisclosed amount of money into the suspect's bag, the suspect drove away in the SUV.

Anyone with information about this incident or the suspect is urged to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
