PCSD: Body found near Craycroft and Sunrise likely Ann Pardo

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The Pima County Sheriff's Department says it is likely the body found in a wash near Craycroft and Sunrise is that of missing Ann Pardo.

Officials say they found a set of keys on the body and matched them to Pardo's house.

The identity of the body still needs to be confirmed by the medical examiner.

Sunday evening, some hikers in the area noticed something unusual with a nearby railing, according to Deputy Tom Peine. He said the group looked down and noticed the body.

Deputies blocked off the wash and one lane of traffic on southbound Craycroft for the investigation.

Detectives and the medical examiner made their way into the wash at about 7:30 Sunday night.
