David Watson pleads not guilty to 3 murder charges

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - David Watson is still behind bars at the Pima County Jail but Tuesday afternoon he was in court.

Watson pleaded not guilty to three counts of murder of his ex-wife Linda Watson, her mother Marilyn Cox and her friend Renee Farnsworth.

Watson was not physically in the courtroom but he had a family member show up to give her support. She wouldn't say what her relationship was with Watson or what she thought about the arrest. All we know is her name is Janet.

The three counts of first degree murder Watson is charged with are from crimes that happened more than a decade ago.

Linda Watson went missing in 2000, her remains were found and her body identified in 2012. Cox and Farnsworth we killed 2003 at the same home were Watson disappeared.

The Pima County Sheriff's Office got a break in the case and were able to arrest Watson late last month.

Watson's next court date will be June 4 at 9 a.m.
