TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Today board-certified dermatologist Dr. Chris Weyer of Dermatology & Plastic Surgery of Arizona is offering the public
skin cancer screenings from 8 a.m. to noon at Dermatology & Plastic Surgery of Arizona, 698 E. Wetmore Road, suite 310 (located at the southwest corner of First Avenue and Wetmore Road).
There is a limited number of free screenings. Patients are asked to reserve a spot by calling (520) 207-3100. The screenings are sponsored by the American Academy of Dermatology as part of a national campaign to encourage early detection and focus on skin cancer prevention, as an estimated one in every five Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime. More than one million new cases of skin cancer will be diagnosed in the U.S. this year.

Look at the moles all over your body for any changes in the size, color, shape or texture.
Use a full-length and hand-held mirror to view the back of your head, your back and backside.
Don't forget places like your scalp, the soles of your feet and between your toes, under your arms and the palms of your hands.
Pay special attention to any new moles that may have developed or any other unusual changes in the skin.
