TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Police on Friday confirmed another reported attack of a jogger along Tucson's Rillito River Park.

The most recent case happened June 5 near North First Avenue and East River Road.

Tucson police received a report of female jogger who says she was punched in the head by a homeless man.

The woman told police her dog bit the man, who then ran away.

The victim went to the hospital where she was treated for minor injuries and released.

Police say there was a several hour delay in reporting the incident.

Police also say the attack does not appear to be related to other cases along the popular recreation trail earlier this year.

In April, several women were reportedly groped along Rillito River Park Trail, between North Stone and North Campbell avenues. No arrests were made.

In February, a Tucson woman was sexually assaulted while jogging alone near Santa Cruz River Park.

Caleb Diaz, 23, was subsequently arrested and charged with kidnapping and rape.

If you have any information about any of these cases, call 911 or 88-CRIME.
