TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Right now the clock is ticking. Back-to-school time is right around the corner. Parents are not the only ones opening their wallets for money for the children. Teachers these days are spending more and more of their own money to pay for school supplies.

According to a recent survey on teachers' spending behavior, SheerID and Agile Education Marketing identified that teacher spending is up year-over-year going into the 2014 back-to-school season. Teachers in the U.S. have spent an average of $513 out-of-pocket on classroom supplies, instructional materials, books for their classrooms, and professional development.

Treasures 4 Teachers gives educators' wallets a break, by offering steep discounts for school supplies. It takes $35 dollars to become a member and get full access to the facility on 6800 N. Camino Martin #124, Tucson, 85741. The store is open Wednesday through Sunday during the summer or by appointment.
