TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Today, Tucson Clean & Beautiful recognized a local neighborhood group for its ongoing effort toward making the community a nicer place to live.

Feldman's Neighborhood Green Team has adopted 4th Avenue from Lee Street to Speedway Boulevard.

In the last seven months, volunteers have spent hours picking up trash, planting native species, adding rainwater harvesting basis, and reporting maintenance needs along the road. They also planted 50 trees along 4th Ave. and have plans to plant 50 more along 1st Avenue.
"It's such an honor to work with such a dedicated team of volunteers who have done incredible work in a short period of time," said Katie Gannon from Trees for Tucson.

The special ceremony to recognize Feldman's Green Team began at 7 a.m. near Helen St. and 4th Ave. in midtown. This ceremony marks the 312th ongoing Adopt-a-Park and Public Areas project, as part of Tucson Clean and Beautiful.

Feldman is one of many organizations that are dedicated to helping to clean and beautify more than 280 Tucson-area parks, streets, and washes on a regular basis throughout the year.
