TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Many may have seen Ben's Bells hanging up around Tucson, they are a group that promotes kindness, this weekend several local creameries are teaming up to help raise funds for this worthy cause.
The 2nd Annual Ice cream Showdown will be going down in downtown Tucson on Saturday, July 11 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The competition will have 10 Arizona creameries going head to head, scooping up and dishing out more than 20 flavors of ice cream.
All will be competing not only for the golden ice cream scoop, but to help raise funds for Ben's Bells.
Each creamery is making two flavors, one for the kids and one for the adults. There will be three categories for winners: best overall ice cream, most inventive and kids choice.
The goal for 2015 is to raise $3,500, surpassing the 2014 amount of $1,600, which was also given to Ben's Bells.
