TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Tucson is seeing a big growth in its number of trees.

Together, Tucson Clean and Beautiful and Trees for Tucson are planting, on average, a tree per day thanks to donations from Hamstra Heating & Cooling.

The company donates money for trees every time it installs a new air conditioning system. This month, Hamstra wrote a check for 364 new trees.

Hamstra has donated more than 700 trees since it began the partnership in November 2013, averaging about 37 trees per month. The donations are made in conjunction with the 10,000 Trees campaign, an initiative of Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild.

Employees of Hamstra also plant some of the trees along with TCB and Trees for Tucson.
