TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Cleanup is underway after lightning struck a palm tree in the 3500 block of S. Austin Place near Golf Links and Kolb, blowing out the windows of a nearby duplex.

Barrett Baker of Tucson Fire Department said multiple windows were blown out.

The homeowner, who asked not to be identified, said the impact rattled the windows, causing several to explode.

"I can't believe one little lightning did all this damage," she said. "It was crazy. It seriously sounded like a bomb exploded. It was scary, it was really loud, even my ears were ringing."

Firefighters who responded to the scene want to remind people to stay away from windows during severe weather.

Despite all of the shattered glass, no one was hurt in the incident.
