TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Tucson Medical Center is expanding its presence into the southeast side by building a new medical campus this fall.

Services at the two-story, 44,000 square-foot Rincon Health Campus facility will include primary care, pediatrics and wound care, according to a TMC news release issued on Sept. 16.

Construction for the new facility is scheduled to begin in late fall at a location on the corner of South Houghton and East Drexel roads.

At least 60 jobs are expected to be created for the facility.

An economic impact study conducted by Sun Corridor Inc. shows the campus could bring in $61 million through 2020.

"TMC has long been committed to the Civano area and we are thrilled that this project is coming to fruition after several years of planning," TMC President and CEO Judy Rich stated in the release.
